Giorno! Welcome to Fay’s
The “Real Fay,” my mother, is the
matriarch of our family. She and her
brother Mike opened the original “Fay’s
Knotty Pine” in 1961 on Lunds Corner in
the north end of New Bedford.
“Nana Fay” is also known as the
beautiful & charming grandmother of the
3rd generation of our restaurant family,
Elizabeth & Matt, who just happen to be
my pride & joy. Elizabeth & her husband
Julio have also blessed us with our 4th
generation and the most important
members of our family, Julia Fay and
Taylor Rose. I am known as Fay’s
daughter, Liz and Matt’s mom, and my
favorite title, Julia & Taylor’s Nana!
On occasion someone remembers my name,
Evelyn!
The Knotty Pine was known for its
inviting, warm, and friendly atmosphere
as well as its famous thin crust pizza
and pasta. At Fay’s we have created that
same inviting atmosphere with the same
thin crust pizza and pasta but have
greatly expanded our menu as well as our
ability to serve our customers better.
Fay’s remains a local favorite for its
classic Italian fare, its dedication to
a good cocktail, and its friendly
service and surroundings. My staff and I
are committed to making your visit as
enjoyable, rewarding, and memorable as
possible!
My deepest love and gratitude is given
to our family – my grandparents, aunts,
uncles, cousins and to our extended
family – the capable & dedicated
employees who have enabled us to become
one of the most loved family restaurants
in this area. They are the “cornerstone”
of Fay’s.
